Amazon.com reported its Q3 FY2022 earnings on Thursday, October 27th.

The Company reported earnings per share of $0.28 for the quarter, beating expectations by $0.07.

The company reported total revenue of 127.46 billion compared to 127.1 billion estimated.

However Amazon shares fell 13% after, company issued disappointing fourth-quarter guidance and missed sales expectations.

There were signs of weakness in the company's retail business, with a much slower than expected holiday sales season.

This is the second time this year that Amazon has had a disappointing performance that has sparked a double-digit selloff. In April weak second-quarter guidance sent the stock down 14%.
