The Mercedes-Benz Metris, like the rest of the mid-size van market, will be discontinued in the United States after 2023. Mercedes has unveiled a new line of V-class freight and passenger vans, as they remain popular in other markets. The selection includes everything from the regular model to the electric EQV and the campsite-exploring Marco Polo van.

Revitalized V-Classes bold H1
The updated vans have redesigned instrument clusters and the latest version of Mercedes’s MBUX infotainment system. The standard V-class, Marco Polo, and EQV come equipped with a pair of 12.3-inch displays and a new center console that features an optional wireless charger. Mercedes also turned up the luxe dial on the new vans, adding a remote-start function, heated steering wheel, dimmed rear lighting for night driving, and 64-color ambient interior lighting.

The bodywork on the V-class has also been improved. Select trims receive an LED light strip that surrounds the grille, which is now larger than previously. The headlights and taillights have also been updated, and adaptive LED headlights are either standard or optional depending on the model level. Along with five new paint colors, new 17-, 18-, and 19-inch wheels are available. The monoblock wheels on the luxury V-class Exclusive, which also sports a cool three-pointed star hood ornament, are our favorite.
Mercedes claims that the V-class modifications serve as a bridge to an all-electric future. After all, VAN.EA a new EV-specific platform is set to launch in 2026 and beyond. Mercedes also expects its electric vans to account for more than half of all sales, both private and commercial, by the end of the decade
