Ravens Deliver Third Straight Loss For Tom Brady - The Click Times

The Click Times: The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 27-7, and handed Tom Brady another loss in his season debut.

The Patriots quarterback was 16-of-22 passing for 158 yards with a touchdown in his first game since he suffered a torn ACL and MCL in Super Bowl LI.

Brady’s record as a starter is 140-49 dating back to 2001. He has started every game for New England since becoming the full-time starter in 2001, but this will be his first loss as a starter since Week 3 of the 2017 season against the Miami Dolphins.

The Ravens (1-0) scored on their opening drive when wide receiver Michael Crabtree took a short pass from Joe Flacco and raced down the right sideline for a 79-yard score that gave Baltimore an early 7-0 lead.

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14, marking their third straight victory. The win also marked the first time since 2001 that the Ravens have won three straight games.

The win was also important for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, who now have only one more win left to salvage their season.

Brady threw two interceptions in the first half as he struggled to get his offense going. The Patriots were down 21-3 at halftime and they were able to pull out a victory with some late scoring drives in the fourth quarter.

With the loss, New England sits at 6-7 on the season and will now travel to Foxboro Stadium this Sunday for a game against the Buffalo Bills (4:25 p.m., CBS). The Bills are also 6-7 on the season but sit at second place in the AFC East behind New England’s 5-6 record.

The Ravens played without quarterback Joe Flacco and running back Justin Forsett, while the Buccaneers were without starting safety Dashon Goldson due to injury and starting center Evan Dietrich-Smith due to illness.

Baltimore jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter thanks to a Tevin Jones touchdown reception and two Justin Tucker field goals.

Tucker added another field goal in the third quarter before Jameis Winston connected with Mike Evans on a 28-yard touchdown pass to extend Tampa Bay’s lead late in the fourth quarter.

After forcing a fumble from Corey Grant on Baltimore’s next drive, Winston connected with Evans again from six yards out to make it 14-6 at halftime.

The Baltimore Ravens’ defense is the one area of this team that has not been exposed in the first three weeks. The combination of Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil have been a force on the edge, and there was no letup from them in Week 4 against Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers had a chance to tie the game at 24-24 with just over two minutes remaining, but Suggs sacked Ryan Fitzpatrick for a 9-yard loss on third down, then he tackled Jameis Winston for a 6-yard loss on fourth down to seal the victory for Baltimore.

The Ravens’ offense did not get much going against a Tampa Bay defense that had been stout up until this point, but they still managed to score two touchdowns. Joe Flacco connected with Mike Wallace for an 11-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter before Justin Forsett scored on a 6-yard run early in the second quarter.
