Bomb Cyclone continues to wreak havoc in most areas of Eastern America. It is believed to be a severe snow storm. Due to which more than 30 people have died. The blizzard made the city of Buffalo in New York State almost helpless. A blizzard is a type of winter storm characterized by freezing rain, also known as a glaze event.

In some parts of the United States, it is also known as silver melting. This storm rains snow or hail instead of water. This usually happens when the weather temperature is already very low. It is not necessary that such temperature comes only in the cold season. Even if the ground temperature is low, sometimes snow storms are seen but very few.

In America in 1816, a similar storm came in the summer season. Again the same thing happened in 2013, when a 10 cm thick sheet of snow got frozen due to the storm. Due to this the air temperature also got cold again. Recently, a similar snow storm occurred in Japan, which is also known as Winter Storm. It rains snow very fast. Bone-chilling winds also move along with it. In areas with temperate climate, these snow storms keep coming not only in the winter season but also before and after some seasons. How dangerous these storms are, it was seen in Japan and now it is being seen in America.

What is Blizzard?

When strong winds blow in a blizzard and a lot of snow falls, it is also called a blizzard or snowstorm. Such blizzards were recorded several times in the US between 1888 and 1947 and in the 1990s. For example, in 1947, more than two feet of snow fell in America. Due to continuous snowfall, 12 feet of snow was frozen, which did not melt for months because the temperature did not drop.

Why do snowstorms happen?

To understand this game of nature, you have to know about some geographical conditions, due to which snow storms occur.
Due to the cyclone in the area of low pressure in the sea, a cycle of relatively warm winds is formed. If there is not enough cold air near the surface, it may rain as snow.
– Since cyclones cause very strong winds in the low-pressure area, very strong winds can form large snow storms.
How much snow will fall is determined by how fast warm air flows over cold air or how much water vapor is available or how fast a storm moves.

Is snow storm related to lake too?

Along with all these reasons, the snow storm is also related to the lake, which is called the lake effect. There is also a mountain blizzard. Since the cyclonic winds are blowing from the lower side to the upper side, very heavy snow storms are sometimes seen in the hilly areas.
