Washington, PTI. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will travel to India next week to attend the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting. During this he will meet senior Indian officials. India took over the presidency of the G20 on 1 December last year.

“On March 1, Blinken will travel to New Delhi to participate in the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which seeks to strengthen multilateralism and promote food and energy security, sustainable development, gender equality, and other issues,” said State Department spokesman Ned Price. Will concentrate on expanding cooperation in the areas of women’s empowerment, anti-drugs, global health, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief.

The US Secretary of State will be in India till March 3. Blinken will reach India after his visit to two Central Asian countries – Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan – starting on February 28. On 28 February he will visit Astana, Kazakhstan, where he will meet senior officials of Kazakhstan to deepen bilateral cooperation.
