Woody Allen claims that his 50th movie will be his last: “Now would be a good moment to stop“.

Woody Allen is an American writer, director and actor who has been nominated for anAcademy Award three times and a BAFTA Award once.

Allen has won two Academy Awards out of three nominations, first for Best Original Screenplay for Annie Hall and then for Best Adapted Screenplay for Hannah and Her Sisters.

He is also known for his films Annie Hall, Manhattan, Radio Days, Stardust Memories andVicky Cristina Barcelona. His films often contain elements of fantasy or surrealism.

Allen began his professional career by writing for television programs such as The Sid Caesar Show and The Danny Kaye Show; he later became a comedy club owner in New York City.

In the early 1960s he began writing jokes for other comedians as well as acting in plays. His first play was brought to Broadway by Bonnie and Clyde’s producer Hal Wallis, who offered him a directing contract with Paramount Pictures; this led to his feature film directorial debut.
