Lea Michele was suspended from Funny Girl after a COVID-19 test was positive.

“Lea Michele is currently being treated for a COVID-19 infection and is receiving supportive care,” her rep said in a statement. Due to this she is unable for doing role in “Funny Girl”.

She is working with doctors to ensure that she is well taken care of during her recovery period.

“Funny Girl” is a  American musical drama film directed by Richard Lester, written by Isobel Lennart and starring Barbra Streisand in one of her best-known starring roles. The film depicts the life and times of Fanny Brice, who was once a vaudeville comedian but is now trying to make it as a Broadway star.

Lea Michele is an American singer, songwriter, actress and fashion designer. She rose to fame after winning the role of Rachel Berry in the musical television series Glee. She was a panelist on NBC’s reality competition series and has also starred in films such as New Year’s Eve, Ramona and Beezus and Blended. Michele attended school at Saint Ann’s School of Brooklyn Heights. When she was small, she began performing at a local club called The Cutting Room in Manhattan.
